Many experienced learners here discourage using filtered decks regularly. BUT: In the current version they have some serious drawbacks that mess with the cards' scheduling so that many people think Anki isn't working properly (just browse this subreddit).

If you search the manual you will find the option of filtered decks: as the filter you can select all cards belonging to one deck. The mobile versions don't support addons.Īnki is not designed to review the whole deck. It is ok that it takes some time (like a month) until you have a substantial number of reviews. If you review randomly the chance that you review the cards that need reviewing is very small. If you only review 3% per day that's 150 cards. If you just add 30 cards a day you are at 5400 after half a year. If you recently started using Anki you can add more cards. I would make sure to grade the cards you learn honestly. Reviewing cards that have huge intervals a short time after a previous review doesn't improve the memory (in a noticeable way for most people). So Anki tries to schedule the card shortly before you would forget it (so to make the intervals as long as possible). In general if you review a after some time you will keep it in mind for a longer time. You can only manage this huge amount of cards by doing only the minimum amount of reviews necessary. Here are many people who have made over 15k cards and remember most of them because Anki periodically shows them. Users that routinely delete their posts once they receive an answer might be excluded from participating on the sub. Posts that are off-topic will be removed.
